Sweets & Stuff
Ocean State Job Lot has a massive selection of cookies and assorted high calorie crap. Like walls of stuff from Europe you’ve never heard of. I’ve always sort of stayed away, but we’ll see how this plays out.

Taco Bell Cinnamon Nachos Dessert Kit:
Provenance: USA!
Price: $1.00
Odd Ingredient: “Shellac”
“Servings per package” Five (!)
Tagline: “New!”
I can’t tell you how delicious this is in so few words. The box contains three industrial mystery bags: Cinnamon sugar chips, artificial caramel sauce, and “toffee-flavored bits” which are weird little chunks of sugar and chemicals. “Just add ice cream” the box says. The box offers this tip: “Prepare using your favorite flavor of ice cream, like vanilla,” which is weird. Simple to make and fun and evokes churros and other Mexican desserts.
Verdict: Frickin’ Delicious ………………………………………………..
Skittles Riddles:
Provenance: USA!
Price: $2.00
Odd Ingredient: “Titanium dioxide” – Delicious!
“Servings per package”“about 10″
Tagline: “The colors don’t match the flavors”
I imagine it’s tough to be a candy executive. You invent Skittles and they are successful and heck, stupid southern rappers and kids even use them to flavor their purple drank. So what can you do to remain relevant? Oh, I know, make the same dumb candy, but use the “wrong” food dye on the shells.
Genius and stupid at the same time.
Verdict: Fairly Delicious (they’re just Skittles)
