Bald Eagle in the Wild

My First Bald Eagle!
Pleasant Valley (Barkhamsted)

September 9, 2007

Boy, are you in for a disappointment if you actually came to this page. But for me, this was a momentous occasion – my first bald eagle. I know, I know, they’re all over parts of Connecticut now and other people see them daily. I don’t and I’m not from Connecticut, so this was exciting for me. Sorry my picture is awful.

The coolest part of this (along the Farmington River next to People’s Forest) was that the eagle was catching fish while several fly-fishermen kept coming up empty nearby.

Trust me, that’s a bald eagle.
