6 Elmwood Place

6 Elmwood Place
Hamden Land Conservation Trust

May 6, 2013

Haha, you clicked here. There’s nothing to see here. Nothing at all. I have no idea why the Hamden Land Conservation Trust bothers owning this inaccessible postage stamp property, but they do. It’s behind these houses:

“Acquired in 2000, this is a .11 acre wooded parcel and a strategic holding to help protect the wooded hillside. There is no direct road frontage. Legal access is between 653 and 665 Circular Ave. This parcel is useful for protection of open space and encouragement of flora and fauna, but not recommended for visitor use. The Town of Hamden owns an abutting parcel. A spice bush swallowtail caterpillar was seen (on a spice bush) near the edge of these woods.”

Moving on, to the next property where you can actually walk around, 277 Thornton Street (Johnson’s Pond).
